Description FPAssistant FOM – Flight Operations Management is part of the FPAssistant SOC Suite product line that provides a complete flight operations support system for flight dispatching, flight schedule management, maintenance and in the near future crew management. FPAssistant FOM provides a unique and completely integrated system, handling all aspects of a flight, including flight planning, geographical map tracking, ground to ground and ground to air messaging, en-route re-analysis, navigational data, textual and graphical weather, all in a single user friendly application. FPAssistant FOM allows flight operations personnel access to all their current applications in an easy to use intuitive application. FPAssistant FOM is suited for any size air carrier, charter or flight department. FPAssistant FOM is a scalable PC-based operating environment, modularity and flexible cost models are compatible with major and regional airlines, business aircraft operators and corporate flight departments. FPAssistant FOM provides an additional layer on top of 3rd party services and information, providing flight operations personnel with an integrated application capable to access all types of data and services in a single system.
FPAssistant FOM Benefits
The FPAssistant FOM is a fully interoperable system, supporting the flight dispatcher’s core activities: Flight Management
FPAssistant FOM helps flight operations efficiently perform all their daily activities. The system is built over solid and established 3rd party processing services for flight planning, meteorological data, aircraft fuel and performance, among others. The system is based on a distributed enterprise architecture supporting a fast and straightforward integration with internal or external systems. Additionally, FPAssistant FOM is scalable, has strong security features and multi-user access control. Features Integrated Visualization FPAssistant FOM provides visualization of all data relevant to flight dispatching activities through a comprehensive graphical presentation, including:
Flight Watch
Navigation Data The Navigation database provides an electronic chart containing all aerospace data, including FIRs/UIRs, restrictive and controlled airspaces, airports, airways, SIDs/STARs, waypoints and navaids. The database is fully geo-referenced and accessible through the graphical situation presentation. Aeronautical Messaging The system provides a repository of inbound and outbound messages embedded in an intuitive interface. Messages are interpreted, formatted and associated with the respective flight and are available through the integrated visualization display. The system supports messages from several communications providers of services such as Type B, AFTN, LAN and e-mail. Custom message drivers can be developed and easily integrated into the system. AIS Data FPAssistant FOM retrieves current meteorological and aeronautical messages that are critical for flight planning, tracking and monitoring. AIS data is processed and automatically associated to airports, airspaces, navaids and current flights. The system supports NOTAMs, METAR and TAF textual reports, as well as weather images and charts. Image/Document Management Terrain images, meteorological images, approach charts, en-route charts, airport diagrams and other data sources, can be displayed at the main system presentation, automatically updated by the system. Resource Management FPAssistant FOM provides benefits for tactical planning through the resource management tool. This module compiles and organizes information about demand forecasting for arrivals and departures at the airports of interest. Airport demand forecast period can be adjusted to the company’s needs, supporting the optimization of flight schedules and ground resources. Customization The FPAssistant FOM offers optional modules for integration with the company’s information systems. Crew management, Maintenance, Engineering and Flight Scheduling integration modules can be offered to help compose a complete solution along with the existing systems. The system is based on an open architecture and state-of-the-art technology allowing easy customization and maintenance. Platform FPAssistant FOM has a generic architecture based on J2EE, running on Windows and Unix operating systems. Specifications for platform, database, PC capacity depends on the target deployment environment. Typical deployment consists of one PC equipment per operational station with two to three displays. One or more servers support the system. The system is very scalable and can be installed to support from 1 to hundreds of operational station. |
