The Automatic Message Handling System v AMHS v is a product designed for
the management of aeronautical messages using either public or private telecommunications
networks connected to the Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunications Network
v AFTN. The systems include a group of functions, with real-time processing,
supporting continuous operation (H24) and integrated into latest Commercial
Of The Shelf hardware.
AMHS provides message generation, consistency verification and routing
services, in a fast and reliable manner, in compliance with ICAO standards.
AMHS receives, files, handles and transmits messages in the AFTN format
with traffic capability of up to 300,000 messages a day. The computer
technology used in AHMS is based on open and modular architecture, with
distributed processing in workstations, with a UNIX standard operational
system, interconnected by a local dual Ethernet, with TCP/IP protocol
and having a connection with other adjacent centers and remote terminals,
through synchronous/asynchronous high-speed lines.
